The Casper Children’s Chorale is a select chorus of boys and girls from Natrona County, Wyoming.  The Chorale has been invited to perform on National Music Conventions, (National ACDA 2005 and 2021) been consistent winners of Heritage Music Festivals (including spring 2019 in San Antonio, Texas), and is the proud recipient of the Wyoming Governor’s Arts Award.  The Chorale is limited to eighty treble singers in 4th -8th grade.

With a limited number of performances, the Chorale strives to enhance, not replace, individual school choirs.  Chorale has a reputation as a highly disciplined performing group, but its main promotion is the knowledge and love of singing.  Each September through May season includes a Fall Concert, Holiday Concert, Winter Church Tour, School Tour, the annual Mother’s Day Concert, and Spring Tour.  Chorale has toured throughout Wyoming and across our nation, from Los Angeles to New York, from Chicago to Vancouver, B.C.   After competitive recorded auditions, Chorale traveled to Spokane, WA, to sing for the 2020 Northwest American Choral Directors Conference in March, and just OPENED the 2021 National ACDA Conference with a virtual performance.

Chorale singers rehearse each Tuesday 4:30-6:00pm.   Chorale is a non-profit group administered by a parent Board of Directors with funding from donations and singer’s $45 monthly tuition. Scholarships and fund-raising activities are available to help with tuition and additional trip costs.  There are five vocal music teachers instructing each rehearsal.

SCREENINGS take place each year in May.

Singers are scheduled in groups of 4-6 for a 20 minute screening/lesson time at Highland Park Community Church, where your child has an opportunity to demonstrate pitch, rhythm, range, and interest.  It will be like a mini-music lesson, and will be non-threatening and FUN!  Please prepare “My Country ‘tis of Thee” in the key of F (use the piano accompaniment above on this page.)

Tuition scholarships are available for Children’s Chorale.  If your child wants to sing, please do not let cost hold them back.  There are some generous donors who are interested in supporting young musicians.  Chorale is a fantastic musical and life-changing experience, but parents commit to getting children to rehearsals each Tuesday afternoon, 4:30-6:00pm (St. Mark’s Church, 701 S. Wolcott).  Attendance is crucial.

Music is an investment for a lifetime!
